Purity Grows Here™

We tend 300 acres of certified organic land in the foothills of the Appalachians, cultivating more than 4 million plants and 40 varieties of medicinal herbs each season.

Our farm is a living sanctuary—where tradition meets innovation, and every plant is nurtured from seed to harvest with uncompromising care.

WE GO WHERE

Herbs Thrive Naturally

We believe the best herbs come from the places they've called home for centuries. That's why we look beyond our own farm—partnering with growers and wildcrafters across the globe who share our commitment to purity, potency, and sustainable practices.

The Heart of Our Farm

We believe wellness starts beneath the surface—in soil made rich by regenerative practices. At our farm, we nurture the land to nurture you, growing potent plants rooted in mineral-dense earth.

From field to facility, every herb is handled with intention. We test in the field, harvest at peak, and extract with care—all on-site, all under our watch. Because the best supplements come from the fullest control.

Regenerative Organic Certified®

In 2022, we achieved Regenerative Organic Certified® silver-level status from the Regenerative Organic Alliance®—a recognition of our deep commitment to farming that restores soil, supports biodiversity, and honors the people who tend the land. This milestone followed a year-long journey to exceed organic standards, meeting rigorous criteria that prioritize both earth health and worker well-being.

But we're not stopping there. We're now working toward gold-level certification, continuously raising the bar for regenerative agriculture and its power to heal people and planet alike.

"With regenerative organic agriculture, we can rehabilitate soil, respect animal welfare, and improve the lives of farmers. We can sequester carbon, build healthier communities, and reap more nutritious and abundant yields."

COMMITTED TO:

Our Harvest Hands

Each season, around 35 skilled farmers travel from Oaxaca, Mexico, to join us for planting and harvest. Many have made this journey for over a decade—some for more than 25 years. They're not just workers; they're family.

Commitment That Goes Beyond Words

  • In 2021, we deepened our commitment to farmworker fairness by addressing four key areas: safe travel to and from Mexico, fair wages and benefits, access to health and wellness resources, and dignified on-site housing.

  •  By 2024, that commitment took physical form. We opened new on-site housing at the Butterfly's Tear® Farm—a space built for rest, connection, and community. It's one more step toward our goal of becoming a model for how farmworkers are treated in agriculture.

  • Meet the people behind your herbs.

Beyond the Bottle

The Butterfly's Tear® Farm grows more than herbs. Six acres of our organic land are dedicated to fruits and vegetables—grown not for supplements, but for the people who help make them. Through our Employee Vegetable Program, thousands of pounds of fresh produce go home with our team each season, and whatever's left feeds local families through food banks and shelters.

We also grow for the bees. A pollinator garden filled with native plants supports the biodiversity that keeps our farm thriving—and the honey they produce finds its way back to our employees, jar by jar.
